Tutoring experience at an athletics department tutoring center for political science, sociology, statistics, ecology, philosophy and psychology. Independent tutoring experience in calculus, high school pre-calculus, writing for ESL students, and English literature & psychology for ESL students. I also worked as a teaching assistant and grader for several years at the college level in political science.

Hobbies

I spent ~10 summers working at boy scout camps teaching merit badges- Environmental Science, Nature, Soil & Water Conservation, Forestry and quite a few others. In between those summers I studied education psychology and different approaches to teaching an learning, because I found that even environmental science merit badge, which most boy scouts seem to avoid as BORING, can be made fun and interesting with creative and responsive teaching methods. I am also a music journalist and am working on writing books on topics related to music and cultures, for academic and popular audiences. I love books, and still own well over a thousand of them, even after moving to a new apartment. I read over 100 books each year, on just about any topic, fiction and non-fiction.
