Education
I graduated from Colorado State University in 2009 with a bachelor of arts in Liberal Arts with a concentration in sociology and criminology. My overall undergraduate GPA was 3.3. In 2011 I earned my Teach English as a Second Language (TEFL) certificate while living and studying in Mexico.
Experience
I have tutored and taught children ages 5-18 in The United States, Fiji, Tanzania, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and India. While working as a high school counselor in Colorado I substitute taught every subject. I started and taught an adult literacy class for young mothers in Dominican Republic while managing a safe house for at risk women. I have taught fourth grade math and science in a second language (Spanish) in Dominican Republic. I have tutored in a boys home in the Dominican Republic. Most recently I have returned from working as a women's education advocate in Mumbai, India.
