Experience
I earned a bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of California Los Angeles, and I am currently working toward a master's degree in Biology at California State University Long Beach. Because I am passionate about Biology, I have been able to overcome challenges and push forward toward my goal of becoming a professor. As mentioned, Biology and Life Sciences are where my interests lie, and thus, they are the subjects I love to teach most. My training has been such, however, that I am also able to tutor Algebra, Geometry, Writing, English, Grammar, and Ecology. Research and tutoring experience have given me both a deep understanding of complex topics and also the ability to make these topics accessible to students through relating the academic concepts to the student's own interests. After each tutoring session, my hope is that each student will be closer to discovering an interest in each subject that they will be able to use to move forward independently.My other interests include rock climbing, movies, volleyball, board games, and the beach.
