Experience
I think it's so important to understand the material for its own sake instead of just trying to pass an exam. When you know the subject through and through, good grades will follow. I believe that intuitive learning through many different mediums is the best way to master a subject. I've previously tutored for the ASVAB as well as worked as a reading tutor for an adult literacy council.
